About Peter Ankeny
Accurate books, kept by the person you talk to.
Wolf Pine Bookkeeping was founded to give complex households and small businesses accurate books, clear reporting, and a more reliable financial foundation.
I’m Peter Ankeny, the founder of Wolf Pine Bookkeeping. My career has taken me from industrial engineering to private wealth planning and financial services. Across those roles I saw the same problem again and again: important decisions depended on financial information that was fragmented, difficult to interpret, or out of date.
I created Wolf Pine Bookkeeping to close that gap. It is owner-operated, so the person you speak with is the person who reconciles the accounts, closes the month, answers your questions, and talks with your CPA.

A Systematic Approach to Financial Records
Good bookkeeping requires more than entering transactions. Accounts need to be reconciled, activity needs to be categorized consistently, and reports need to reflect the way a household or business actually operates.
My engineering background shaped how I approach this work. I look for clear processes, reliable inputs, and systems that can be maintained over time. The objective is to produce books that are accurate enough to trust and reports that are clear enough to use.
Books accurate enough to trust, and reports clear enough to use.

Background and Credentials
EngineeringDartmouth, Thayer School · Eaton Corporation
I earned a B.A. in Engineering Sciences, a B.E., and a Master of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering, and began my career as a mechanical engineer at Eaton Corporation, designing industrial electrical and hydraulic systems.
That work developed a disciplined approach to problem-solving, process design, and technical detail.
Wealth planningUBS Private Wealth Management · Lake Street Advisors
I later worked in wealth planning at UBS Private Wealth Management and Lake Street Advisors. That experience gave me direct exposure to complex households, family offices, business owners, and the professionals who support them.
I saw how much time families, CPAs, and advisors can lose when the underlying records are incomplete or difficult to organize, and the value of clear reporting across trusts, entities, accounts, properties, and businesses.
BookkeepingWolf Pine Bookkeeping · QuickBooks Online
Wolf Pine Bookkeeping brings those two disciplines together. The books are kept in QuickBooks Online, every account is reconciled to its statement each month, and the reports are built in the form a family, an owner, and a CPA can each use.
